Ed Bott - Windows 10 Support Secrets
97 CHAPTER 7 | Staying productive on mobile devices Figure 7-4: Under normal circumstances, the display is one of the most power-hungry parts of a modern device running Windows 10. Set that display to go off and configure sleep options on this Settings page. The Additional Power Settings tab at the bottom of that Settings page opens the old-fashioned Control Panel tab for Power Options. Two options here can be especially helpful when you have extreme power savings on your to-do list: Click Change Plan Settings and then click Change Advanced Power Settings to fine-tune what your device does after a period of inactivity. Under the Sleep heading, shown in the screenshot that follows, you can configure the device to hibernate (and stop using all battery power) in a shorter period than normal.
