Visit this page in Settings to see full details for any app. Don’t underestimate the power of this diagnostic tool. If you or one of your users discover that battery life has suddenly and unexpectedly dropped, click Time to filter the list of apps accordingly: You can show performance for the past 6 hours, the past 24 hours, or a full week. If you find an app that’s misbehaving and using more than its fair share of battery life, you can uninstall it (a drastic step) or change its settings so that it can’t operate in the background. You’ll find additional options for controlling battery usage under Settings > System > Power & Sleep. The exact settings available for a device vary, depending on how the device is designed. Figure 7-4 shows settings from a Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
