43 CHAPTER 3 | Staying secure Figure 3-6: In Windows 10, all updates are cumulative, so you never need to scroll through a long list of updates to catch up. The second big change in Windows 10 is that you no longer have the option to skip updates. After updates are downloaded, Windows schedules a restart. From the Windows Update page in Settings, you can postpone that restart by a few days, but you can’t do so indefinitely, as was possible with earlier Windows versions. In Windows 10, version 1511, you can configure Windows to notify you so that you can adjust the schedule for a restart. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Advanced Options to make this change, as shown in Figure 3-7.
