Snap it The ability to snap a window to one side of the screen has been part of Windows for many years. Drag a window to either side of the screen (or use the keyboard shortcuts Windows key+left arrow/right arrow) and it snaps into position, occupying exactly half the screen. Windows 10 adds a subtle but useful refinement to this capability. When you snap a window to either side, thumbnails for other open windows appear alongside, as shown in Figure 2-18. The assumption is that you want to see two windows side by side, which you can accomplish by clicking one of those thumbnails.
