Optimizing for touch On a device that has a touchscreen in addition to a keyboard and pointing device, you can use whichever actions feel most natural to accomplish specific tasks. For example, you can swipe in from the right side of the touchscreen to display notifications, or swipe from the left to switch into Task View. When you use a tablet or hybrid device that has only a touchscreen, with no keyboard or pointing device at hand, you can switch into Tablet Mode, which changes the behavior of Windows 10 to make it work more effectively with touch-based gestures. To switch into (or out of) Tablet Mode, swipe inward from the right side of the screen and tap the Tablet Mode button in Quick Actions.
